Who Runs the DCCU?
DCCU is run by its own members, ten of whom serve on its board and make day to day decisions. They are:
Anne Belsey, formerly involved in the Lets alternative currency movement, and the Credit Union's Training Officer.
Hazel Braithwaite, a work performance coach, president of Canterbury Soroptomists, and the Credit Union's Assistant Marketing Officer.
David Brown ACIB, retired bank manager and the Credit Union's Finance Director.
Angela Gibbens, Deputy Manager of Canterbury and Herne Bay Volunteer Centre, and the Credit Union's Loans Officer.
Alan Holmes OBE, former Chief Executive of the British Food Manufacturing Research Association, former Chair of Mid-Surrey Health Authority, and the Credit Union's Chair.
Martin Kingman, debt collection specialist with local solicitors, and the Credit Union's Delinquent Loans Officer.
Timothy Lawson CBE, former Managing Director of London Fancy Box Co Ltd, former Chair of Barnardo's.
Doreen Rosman, former university teacher, and the Credit Union's Volunteer Co-ordinator.
Diane Tatt JP, director of three local companies and the Credit Union's Company Secretary.
Ursula Wacher, barrister, Chair of Canterbury and District CAB, Chair of Kent Savers, and a consultant to DCCU.
Fred Whitemore, former Lord Mayor and Canterbury City Councillor, the Credit Union's President.
The Board's work is overseen by a Supervisory Committee:
Keith Dimond, chartered engineer and former university teacher.
Paul Strutt, chartered accountant, employed by Reeves & Neylan Accountants.
Matthew Reames, teacher, St Edmunds School.
Peter Woolnough, former company secretary, Brett & Co.

Association of British Credit Unions (ABCUL).
